How to choose your Balance Board ?

Its principle is simple but powerful: a board placed on a roller (or a ball), creating controlled instability. The result? Every movement engages your stabilizing muscles, improves your posture, and strengthens your core.

Originally called the Rola-Bola in the circus world, the balance board was used by acrobats to develop coordination and agility. Today, it has found its place well beyond the stage—in gyms, summer camps, schools, and even under desks in some workplaces.

How to Choose Your Board Based on Your Experience Level

Your experience level with a balance board is not directly linked to your fitness level or athletic background. It’s a new tool for most people, so we generally recommend starting with a beginner model. Here are a few options:

Standard Models (BEGINNER)

Designed for beginners, our Standard models are the perfect entry point into the world of balance boards. They’re made to offer a safe, accessible, and enjoyable experience from your very first session.

Each board is equipped with built-in stoppers underneath both ends, acting as a safety net. These stoppers prevent the board from rolling too far, reducing the risk of falls and sudden movements.

Whether you want to improve your balance, enhance your posture, or simply add a little movement to your daily life, the Standard model has your back.

✔ Practice safely
✔ Extend your practice time
✔ Reduce risk of injury
✔ Learn at your own pace

Freestyle Models (INTERMEDIATE)

The Freestyle model is for users who want to push their limits and explore a freer, more dynamic practice.

At first glance, it looks very similar to the Standard model: same size, same surface, same quality. The key difference? No stoppers underneath the board.
This means there are no mechanical limits to movement, opening the door to more creative, fluid, and street-inspired tricks.

It’s perfect for those who have already mastered the basics and want to challenge their coordination, control, and creativity without the constraints of built-in stoppers.

✔ Skateboard-inspired tricks (ollies, pop shove-its, kickflips, etc.)
✔ Breakdance or freestyle body movements
✔ Smooth, uninterrupted routines

SWELL Models (ADVANCED)

The Swell model offers the freedom of the Freestyle version, but adds an extra level of sensitivity thanks to its concave shape (curved upward).

This unique form amplifies the board’s responsiveness when balance shifts or weight is transferred. It requires more precision, greater control, and heightened awareness of your center of gravity.

✔ Experienced users
✔ Those looking to fine-tune proprioception
✔ Freestyle lovers seeking a technical challenge

With no stoppers and a demanding curvature, the Swell delivers a powerful, fluid, and highly sensory experience. A bold choice for those wanting to push their limits.

360 Model (EXPERT)

The 360 model is our most immersive and sensory board. Unlike the others, which rest on a roller, this one uses a central ball—allowing for full 360-degree movement.

Underneath the board, a circular stopper acts as a safety barrier, keeping the ball in place and preventing uncontrolled slips. This subtle feature maintains a smooth experience while reducing risk.

It’s the ideal model for board sport enthusiasts looking to recreate the feel of a wave—even off the water. It helps develop weight transfer, lateral stability, and full-body coordination in every direction.

✔ Surfers
✔ Paddleboard (SUP) lovers
✔ Wakesurf and wakeboard riders
✔ Anyone passionate about free, fluid movement

Each session on the 360 deeply stimulates your stabilizing muscles, enhances dynamic balance, and brings you closer to the sensations of real board sports—no waves required.

Which Shape Should You Choose?

The shape of your balance board is mostly a matter of style and aesthetics. It doesn’t affect the difficulty or performance of the board during use.

Each shape we offer is inspired by different board sports we love and practice: Skateboard, Snowboard, Surf & Kitesurf, Wakeboard, and Paddleboard (SUP).

These shapes are made to give you more visual variety, so you can choose a board that reflects your personality—without compromising functionality.

No matter the shape you pick, the board will behave the same way: same stability, same feel, same fun.

Why Use a Balance Board?

Whether you're a board sports enthusiast, hockey player, home yogi, or just a high-energy kid, there are countless reasons to add a balance board to your routine.

Develop proprioception, coordination, and reflexes:
Standing on the board sharpens your ability to sense body position in space—a key skill in sports like snowboarding, surfing, SUP, or skateboarding.

Strengthen stabilizing muscles:
It activates the stabilizers in your hips, knees, ankles, and core—essential for injury prevention and performance, especially in sports like hockey.

Improve focus and concentration:
Whether during a functional workout, a yoga session, or even at your desk, a balance board keeps your mind alert and sharp.

A Never-Ending Movement…

Using a balance board is like riding an endless wave. It’s playful, engaging, and even meditative at times. No matter who you are, it’s a simple way to add movement and body awareness to your day.

But beyond function, there’s a subtle magic to balance board practice. It’s fun—almost addictive. Time flies. You get on "just for a few minutes" and stay on much longer because it just feels that good.

The board activates often-neglected muscles—stabilizing chains we rarely train consciously. Yet they’re crucial to our balance, posture, and overall well-being.

That feeling of discovery—of progressing without pressure—feels like the first time you learned to ride a bike. That exact moment when, without anyone holding you, you found balance, moved forward, and felt pure freedom, pride, and joy. The balance board brings you back to that feeling.

And maybe that’s the true power of this board: to get you moving, smiling… and fully alive.
